with 30 you you could make two 14 element banks with a nearly circular pattern. :)

You could take 18 of them and build a pair of to-scale Bose 901 replicas. :)
C'mon somebody, Bid on these would ya, because if I win them next Friday night with my $100.00 bid your all gonna be pissed. ( You didn't actually think I bid $3000.00 did you?) And besides I sold My Cornscala's tonight for $900.00 and went back to my flower looking art Deco baffles with the 4" Fostex's in them backed up by my Dayton sub and I can't honestly remember hearing a better sounding setup ever.
I had to Google Bose 901....that's a different looking animal isn't it.

Don't think for a minute that that hasn't crossed my mind.
Not that crazy when you consider there were some legitimate speaker engineers that used their styrofoam cooler lids to build drivers after they drank all their beer!(Bertagni/BES & Yamaha) Ok, maybe it was champange and saki, not beer.;)
I think they partied with some of the fellas at EV too, pretty sure the 30W is a foam cone and IIRC, they made a smaller driver or two that also used a foam cone.
I guess they didn't realize that fancy new lightweight material was packing material.:D
I deserved that.... :)

I may end up referring to you for wiring advice if I actually end up getting them. I understand the maintaining the 8 ohms but are you saying wire 3 of them in series and the forth one in parallel and that would give me 16 ohms and then when I wire the two banks together I'd have 8 ohms?

Don't you mean 16? or are there two hidden ones I'm not seeing?
Okay I think I found it sticking out the back...or is that the front?

yeah that was blose's indirect sound idea. the one in the front was supposed to give you some sense of hf that the other 8 pointing at the wall (or walls) lost on the way.
was one of those theorys that looked good on a showroom floor, and usually delivered by some white guy salesman with a fro in the seventies
